Assunta has a Masters
degree from Melbourne
University in Women's
Health and has done
advanced academic
research in this area. Since
1984 Assunta has practiced
in a women's health clinic
and lectured to naturopathic
and herbal medicine
students. She ihas been
employed in writing
courses for Southern Cross
University about research
methodology for
complementary therapists
and lectures extensively to
health care professionals
on herbal medicine. She is
currently employed by the
University of queensland to
write and tech courses in a
graduate diploma of
Complementary Medicines
taught on-line to practising
pharmacists. She is
an active member of herbal
and naturopathic
professional associations
and a member of the
Complementary Medicines
Consultative forum, an
Australian federal
government committee
giving advice on
complementary medicine.
It all started in a garden.
