Nicky graduated from Auckland Medical School, New Zealand in 1992 and completed her training a Whakatane Hospital. She is now a General Practitioner and medical herbalist based at Bethlehem Medical Centre, Tauranga. She has a Diploma in Herbal Medicine from Waikato Centre for Herbal Studies, and now lectures there regularly. She has done original clinical research in herbal medicine and speaks regularly at medical conferences on herbal medicine both nationally and internationally. Her home is a model of environmentally friendly self-sufficiency.
